Brand new stuff I created over the holidays

Here you can see mainly personal work but I actually couldn't stop working on the aka-aki stuff so here are some new things for the game - UNphotoshopped! Just plain photos. It's paper pizza, paper fast food, a paper old school radio (can be lit-up from behind due to transparent papers!! looks HOT!) and a paper chippy/chip shop/french fries joint. All paper!

And since I had been working so much with Margret and Martin from Nöjesguiden this past year I felt like immortalizing them with my black Sharpie marker.

Interviews!!

If you understand English, Danish, French or Swedish you can find out more about me in these interviews taken from Be Street #4, Euroman October09 and Nöjesguiden June09. :)

Christmas card

For a personal christmas card i teamed up with some people to create a snow globe scene. My part was to actually build the oversized snow globe. The cool thing: you can light up the small house from below. :)

Photo by the super talented Ulrich Hartmann
who is oozing street credibility. Hehe.

(FYI: the second picture is a scan of the card with glitter on it .. I'm sorry that the picture here doesn't measure up to the brilliant colour of the real-life card...)

Game artwork - "aka aki GAMES"

I mentioned it before: I'm currently working on a computer game artwork.
The game is called "aka-aki GAMES" and it's gonna be quiet a complex thing and so I don't wanna go into the details because that would take too much time.

What I can say is that I'm making everything that occurs in the game EXCEPT THE characters (they are done by someone else) out of paper. I'm actually building models of EVERYHTING. Be it building, car, tree, cake, .... you name it. It's A LOT of work but actually the stuff looks soooooo cool so far and I'm sure the game will look awesome once finished.

Also, the game is not completely ready, yet still we had a preview party in Berlin on the 17th of December in the 4010 shop with an exhibition opening where we showed some of my papercrafted "things". :)
Pics can be checked out by clicking here and some even better pics are here.

If you're in Berlin you can still check out the exhibition until the end of January.

Furthermore you can check out the game website with interviews with my colleagues and me. There is just one thing I want to say before I post the link: Roman, the guy who interviewed everyone, did NOT tell me that I had a strand of hair on my forehead which looks a bit .. uhm ... stoopid. But what else is new?!
Anyway, click here to check out the website.

Magazine Illustration - Nöjesguiden Dec/Jan - Part I

OK, so for NG Dec/Jan I actually did 3 (!) different things:

1) the guest column as usual
2) enhance the cover photo with illustrations
and
3) illustrate the year-2009-list

This is the illustration for the guest text by Viktor Barth-Kron in full size.

Magazine Illustration - Nöjesguiden Dec/Jan - Part II

For the cover I was given 4 different photos and first I decided to go with the photo later used for the inside spread (of course. haha).

Anyway, all details (parrot, speech bubble, the words "noll noll talet", pirate theme, title, magazine name, number) painted in acrylic colours.
