The fantastic people at BE STREET magazine from Paris asked my if I wanted to start a blog on their new webiste where I would write about things that inspire me.

So I'm like: "WOOHOO! yeah!"

Creative Allies contest - Shirt for DJ Technician

A while ago i descovered this website called "creative allies" that offers design competitions. It's really not that I have much time over for these kind of things but I decided to take part in one or two contests just for fun.

So I took part in my first creative allies contest where one was to design a t-shirt for dubstep dj "DJ Technician" from Ohio.
I didn't win which is a bummer because the winning design is ugly. Haha.
No seriously - it's ugly.

Anyway, these are my designs (which I still think are the best designs in the competition):

Installation for AVNA trend experience for PAUL FRANK

The guys from AVNA trend experience designed the PAUL FRANK stand for the Bread&Butter fashion trade show this year in July here in Berlin and one part of the concept was a paper city of 10 square meters inspired by south California and Paul Frank that I built within 5 weeks out of ONLY paper, glue and tape. And a bit glitter.

I created a downtown area with skyskrapers and loft buildings, loads of single family houses, trees, plam trees, swimming pools, plants, a space center with a rocket and other stuff.

Also, if one googles one can find loads of pics from the actual fair. Like, for instance, here or here.

Further down you can see some behind the scenes pictures as well as a picture of Janelle Monae who played at the Bread&Butter (which definitely was one of the absolute highlights!) and the Sneakers Magazine loads of ppl picked up at the Magazine Lounge (which featured my pictures of Dave Cowens - see previous blog entry).

Here are some impressions of the work:
